How to measure your footRead first
Measure both feet — they're rarely identical. All measurements in millimetres (mm).
Length
- Measure at the end of the day — feet swell and can be marginally larger than in the morning.
- Wear the socks you'll actually wear while cycling for a correct fit.
- Tape a sheet of paper to a flat surface so it can't move.
- Stand on the paper with one foot (sitting is fine too), with enough load on the foot.
- Draw the outline of your foot. Hard to do alone? Ask someone to help — could be fun, right ;)
- Repeat for the other foot — your feet can have different dimensions.
- Mark the tip of your longest toe, draw a straight line to your heel, and measure that length in mm.
Width
- Mark the outermost point on each side of your forefoot, draw a straight line between them, and measure that width in mm.
