What to Bring to Your Fit
To get the most out of your fitting, we recommend bringing:
- Your current cycling shoes
- Forget your cycling socks so you can buy new ones ;-)
(Grutto Design) - Your bicycle
- Your cycling shorts and/or cycling clothing
This allows us to assess your complete setup and make the most accurate adjustments for your position, comfort and performance on the bike.
Why we offer our fittings
At Bikeshoe4u, we believe the right cycling shoe starts with the right fit. That’s why we offer personal shoe fitting, cleat adjustment, saddle fit and a complete bike fitting.
With our personal approach, we look at your feet, riding style and individual needs to find the best possible solution. Instead of simply choosing a shoe by size, we help you find the right shape, width and setup for more comfort, better support and improved performance on the bike.
Personal advice makes the difference – because every cyclist, and every foot, is different.
Benefits
Our fittings can help reduce pressure points and discomfort, improve your position on the bike, increase pedaling efficiency and prevent common cycling-related issues. Small adjustments to your shoes, cleats, saddle or bike position can make a big difference, especially during longer rides.
The biggest advantage is personal attention. You receive advice based on your body, your feet and the way you ride – not a standard solution.
Online / offline shoefit
At Bikeshoe4u, we offer both an online shoe fit and a personal in-store fitting. In both cases, our goal is the same: to help you find the cycling shoes that fit you as well as possible.
With our online shoe fit, we guide you through measuring your feet and choosing the right size, width and fit from home. Prefer personal advice in our store? During an in-store fitting, we can measure your feet, assess your needs and try different options together.
Whether you choose online or in-store, you receive personal guidance based on your feet, riding style and preferences, so you can ride with more comfort, confidence and performance.

Cleat Fitting
The Bikeshoe4u Cleat Fit – 5 Steps to the Perfect Cleat Position
At Bikeshoe4u, we believe that proper cleat positioning is essential for comfort, efficiency, and performance on the bike. Every cyclist has a unique foot anatomy, leg alignment, and natural pedaling movement.
Our professional 5-step Cleat Fit is designed to optimize your connection between your cycling shoes and pedals, helping to improve stability, power transfer, and overall riding comfort.
Step 1 – Fore-Aft Cleat Position
Based on Your Foot Anatomy
We start by analyzing the anatomy of your feet to determine the ideal fore-aft cleat position. By identifying important anatomical landmarks, we position the cleats to provide optimal foot support, efficient power transfer, and a comfortable pedaling position.
Step 2 – Stance Width Adjustment
Based on Knee Alignment
The distance between your feet plays an important role in your pedaling mechanics. We assess your knee alignment to determine whether a narrower or wider stance is more suitable. Adjusting the lateral cleat position helps promote natural knee tracking and a balanced pedaling movement.
Step 3 – Varus & Valgus Correction
Optimizing Foot and Knee Alignment
Every foot has its own natural alignment. When necessary, we use specialized cleat wedges to accommodate varus or valgus alignment. These adjustments can help improve foot stability, support more natural knee movement, and reduce unwanted pressure during pedaling.
Step 4 – Cleat Rotation
Following Your Natural Foot Position
Your feet naturally point in a specific direction, and your cleat position should respect that. We adjust the rotational angle of your cleats to match your natural foot orientation, allowing comfortable movement within the pedal system and helping to reduce unnecessary stress on your knees and joints.
Step 5 – Leg Length Difference
Compensating for Leg Length Discrepancies
If a leg length difference is identified, additional adjustments may be necessary. When appropriate, we can use cleat shims to help compensate for the difference and improve balance and comfort on the bike.
For accurate assessment and correction of leg length differences, we strongly recommend combining this step with a Complete Bikefit. This allows us to evaluate your entire cycling position rather than focusing solely on cleat placement.
Experience the Difference of a Professional Cleat Fit
At Bikeshoe4u, cleat fitting is about more than simply attaching cleats to your cycling shoes. We take your individual anatomy and biomechanics into account to create a personalized setup that supports your riding style.
Our goal is simple: Better Alignment. More Comfort. Efficient Power Transfer.
